Roper Bed and Breakfast
This beautiful girl was our guest this weekend, aren't we lucky? Her man was in Nevada taking a test so he can be all cool and go to medical school and prescribe me drugs in 15 years! This is Natalie we were her bridesmaids last year in her beautiful wedding! We lived next door to each other in the Colony (a place where you meet some of your best friends, anyone going to BYU should live there!) and the group of us became great friends! I could go on about the things that we all did... Amanda, Landry, Megan and Natalie all deciding that we were going to go to Arizona at midnight, they were nice enough to do my cleaning, pack my bag and then told me that they would drive and all I had to do was sleep, I drove 9 hours out of the 10, but hey it was so worth it! One of the best spontaneous trips I've ever had! Making everyone dinner, skiing, trips to Idaho.... So, this weekend on Saturday Natalie came up and we decided to go shopping! We were in Park City and went to our traditional Main Street Pizza place... delicious as always. After an evening of shopping we came back to our town home and made brownies and watched The Bachelorette! Sunday we had french toast and then mac and cheese while watching what High School Musical 3! Its true then we bbq a gourmet meal of chicken and pineapple and peppers, it was amazing. Then Natalie was our own personal decorator and helped us hang stuff while dancing.. its what Amanda does best, oh and we painted our nails of course. Then we watched Bride wars another good one. Today, we woke up and went straight to the pool!
I love Natalie. She makes me happy. I wish she lived a little closer, I know Provo isn't that far but when she is always busy with school that 30 minutes makes the difference.
Feel free anyone to start making reservations for Roper Bed and Breakfast the only payment required is some decorating help, doing girl things with us, and having sleepovers!

30 Years Later....
they have 4 children, one married in law school, two other college graduates living the life in Holladay working, and one still at home who just got her drivers license. 4 kids who have all stayed true to the gospel and still love them and at least 3 who can call them there friends as well as parents. These two dashing and might I say young looking couple would do anything for their kids. If only the mom liked surprises then we could do something amazing. But, my thinking cap is on, I will surprise them, even if it is a few weeks after there anniversary.
Does anyone else (picture above) have a dad who would agree to going on a trip with a bunch of college students to Guatemala just because there mom told there dad he had to?
Anyone have a mom who would squish herself into the backseat of the family car, and not just the backseat made for 3 but she is clearly sitting in the hole next to the seat that maybe has a few jackets underneath here, while driving in the canyon coming back from Jackson Hole? Oh and notice we have Grandma, Gabby, Manda, Cody and Brandon's arms wait where am I? That's right co pilot with dad drivin. I have an amazing mom who would do anything for me!
Can you tell what a day with the Roper family is like? This was taken a few years ago because Gabby is now almost taller then us (twins), but pretty sure we had some awesome music going on and we decided to dance! If you don't know us to well we are not very skilled at dancing. And this is definitely before Amanda started shaking her hips...
A family that rides the Alpine Slide together in Jackson Hole.......
My Mom is a runner... can you tell? Sock tan?

A Great Saturday
What else would you want to do on a warm May Saturday then going skiing? A Great day up at the mountain, and how did we end it? Just chillin and grillin.
But, wait the day gets better. We get home... chill... get hungry so what do Roper twins do? We go out to Mexican food! Some guy around our dad's age sits at the table next to us and then is saying "hey ladies, so I bought your dinner, its not for anything (like he was creepin on us or somethin) its just that you ladies are my daughters age and you aren't even drinking a coke (we had been drinking coke all day and had just had a sonic), so it is all taken care." Neither one of us really knew what to do, it was nice of him but we were both a little creeped out, it was awkward. We told him thanks after he saw me grab my purse and said "no really I took care of it you don't need your purse." Thanks stranger, who looked to be a lonely man, it was a little creepy but thanks!
Oh and did I mention that I am so happy Utah has a new Governor?! LG Herbert is the man! He is awesome! Oh, and he thinks I am a good sport and that I am so funny (from the UCRW dinner where I made a fool of myself)! Gov. Herbert is fantastic!

My Curse
Yes that is right a bird just pooped on my head. So, by 1 o'clock today I have already showered twice. All I did was take a moment from working upstairs at my desk to go just outside of my garage to spray paint some picture frames so they could be drying while I was working. My boss called me, so while I was on the phone with him and his wife (who are awesome by the way) a bird poops on my head. I would have loved to have screamed but I keep it in. They were wondering if I would be able to come out to there house to work for a bit... well luckily we decided against it (no I did not tell them I got bombed by a bird) I was able to shower. Don't worry I was gagging myself while trying to get the poo out, I do not like gross things, like spiders, bird poop, unknown nastiness on my floor (maybe that is why i always have shoes on). Yuck. For example while in Guatemala my rain jacket saved my life because every night (except for the night on the island in the most amazing hotel ever) I slept with it tight around my face so no bugs would get me (there weren't any bugs/spiders in our hotel rooms) but it made me feel better!
It has not been my week, let me explain.
I decided to be a nice sister and make us some dinner last night. While it was cooking Amanda and I went and worked out, took our cars and washed them and then went to the grocery store for a few things. While parking my car at Albertson's (staying true to the Idaho made company) instead of putting the car into park and turned the windshield washer fluid and blades on, spray my newly cleaned car.
When we got home (we were hurrying to get the food out of the oven so it wasn't burned and to watch the season finally of Grey's Anatomy over at Wylie's) and was trying to grab all of the grocery bags (Amanda had to park the gator out front because the dude two townhomes down was washing his car and blocking her parking spot so she wasn't there to help me) when oh what happens (apparently one of the bags was breaking) and our newly boughten salsa drops out of the car and onto the cement. It sprays everywhere, all over my shower and foot. Wylie and Amanda thought it was funny, I did not I was a little mad, okay really really mad. So, Amanda has to go back to the store to get more for dinner. Bye bye 3 dollars!
Oh and the other day I showered just before we went to the Bee's game. In Van Den Akker cruiser the seat belt broke so Wylie fixed it and glued it. Just my luck before the game some of the glue ended up in my mouth... how we don't know how or why? Maybe I was licking the seat belt... Then while the three of us squished on the bench coming home (it was cold) I let Amanda sit in the middle because I am a nice older sister (only 1 minutes who cares). So, I get it in my hair. Lovely I can smell it all night long. So I take another shower. This week has been a major showering week for me. My friends in P-town who only shower once a week sometimes (you know who you are) I beat your number of showers a month by 3 times as many this week for me.
I have also been trying to fix a few things around our place, like my drawer in the bathroom, I can't do it, so I have to call Wylie to fix it. I have never hung a mirror before (a big mirror that is) and so our new mirrors are just sitting on the floor.
If I had a husband this is what he would be doing right now:
1. Hanging my mirrors for me (I have 4 that need to be hung plus many other things)
2. He would be sanding down my bookshelf which I started by hand and painting it (along with a dressor I saw at a garage sale which I want really bad but diy projects are clearly not my thing)
3. Fixing my shower head (while washing the poop out of my hair I noticed it was leaking and spraying straight towards the ceiling, I don't want mold in my new place)
4. Fixing the kitched drawer that falls downwards because whoever installed the drawer was an idiot
5. Shooting the bird that pooped on my head (apparently they live on the roof above Amanda's room, I have declared war on them)
6. Rubbing my back (it hurts from all of this stress of being pooped on, dropping salasa all over me and my shoes, having to bend over to kill some ants, our place is only 2 years old why are all of these things going wrong!)
7. Clean the kitchen floor because I do not want to, I feel like all I have been doing this last week is cleaning
Did I mention while writing this I can hear the sweet birds chirping from up on the roof? Yes, its true. Anyone have a fake owl I can have? I make kill myself getting on the roof to put it up there, but one will be going up.
I have declared war on the birds, and I am not cleaning for 2 days and hanging mirrors I give up, I will not do it, I will just squat to look at my self. Did I mention I have been sleeping on the floor for the last 8 months...

You Can Spy on Old Faithful
Just catching up on my Boise, Idaho news and what is one of the headlines "Park workers in hot water for peeing in Old Faithful". Seriously? I mean really, who pee's in a geyser that could go off while you were using it at the restroom. The even funnier thing about it is that the person who caught them was not even at the national park, they were at home watching the geyser from satellite. What in the world?! My last question, is who writes a news article about it? Why aren't we hearing about the things going on in the Middle East or news stories that directly affect us? Another classic example of a cat in the tree story... our news media is ricidulous! But, hey it was pretty funny.
I Will Be Trying This..
Here is a news article about a new type of yoga they are going to try here in Salt Lake... things like spinal decompression jumped out at me! Maybe this will ease the back pain! I can't wait to try it!

Help
After 8 months of sleeping on the floor, moving into a new place I decided to finally buy a BED! Yes, and not another twin I went all out for a queen. I picked it up two Friday's ago, well it had a 4 inch pillow top, wrong bed, I ordered the brick (I need a hard bed for the back its heaven). I am waiting for the right bed to come in. Meanwhile I am shopping for new bedding. This is where I need help! Helping decorating my room! (Oh and our family room)!
